“Love”, Theirs is a saying that “Love can heal and can also hurt”, but on a second thought I see love as a healing remedy to all lost souls.
It’s a sunny and bright day, Monday here in Ojo Lagos. Monday is such a busy day filled with stress and lot’s of surprises, if it was possible to skip it, I will gladly accept. I am awoken by my alarm clock, reluctantly shut it down and check my wrist watch.
“OH SHIT” 7:30AM!
I am late to school, I rushed into the bathroom for a shower. Hey, hold on a second, let me tell you about myself. I am Timothy but friends call Timmy, I’m 17yrs old, 6’2 tall, fair in complexion, well gotten lot’s of compliments about my handsomeness and I have a good body physique. As the first of four children, I feel my 17yrs of age is too young for such a rep.
Taking a quick shower and ready for today’s school, I rush to the dining room and have my breakfast and when I am done I send my mum a goodbye kiss..bye‼
Off to school, Hmm.. the street of Ojo are cool and calm environment with the presence of the Nigerian Military. Yes, Military. Ojo has one of the biggest Military Cantonment in Nigeria. So the security levels is high and well secured. Walking alone to school looking sharp and dope as I bounce along the tarred road, smiling as I check my wrist watch.
“DAMN!” 8:15AM!, Time never smiled at me.
Almost approaching my school premises. My school; Livingstone Model College, Ojo, Lagos. One of the biggest and most expensive secondary school in Lagos with branches scattered across the state. Sometimes staffs do complain of delay in payments of their salaries, but still I love my school. One of the best awarded school in sports and academics home and aboard.
I can see the school gate open and no prefect or staff at the gate. Yes, this is a good time to sneak in and avoid the punishment of being late. I walked faster, sweating the more, such a terrible way to start the week. Finally got past the gate, turn towards my class, when I heard loud, scary voice.
“Hey!, Stop right there!”
“Oh My God!!”, I cried as fear washed through me. I’m in a big trouble now. That can only be the voice of Mr.Kunle the school disciplinarian, I can feel my heart beat faster as I sweat profusely….
