Hey there Steemers! Here is the 3rd and possibly final installment of the "Behind the Scenes" for the Buzzfeed commercial shoot. If you missed the 2nd one, here's the link: https://steemit.com/animation/@tysonjames/buzzfeed-commercial-shoot-bts-02-puppets

The rest of this production wasn't quiet as well documented as the puppets, mainly because the other aspects didn't take nearly as long to create. I'll be showcasing DJ Baby Bok Choy's DJ booth, along with some of the other props and settings.

DJ Baby Bok Choy lightin up that artichoke DJ booth:

The actual booth was created from a styrofoam block, that was carved and shaped into an artichoke:

The leaves were made out of smooth-cast, a 2-part liquid platic that hardens when mixed (airbrushed with watered down acrylic):

Leaves were then hot glued onto the styrofoam shell:

DJ Baby Bok Choy was made like all the other puppets, but needed to have the stem of his head sculpted on after the fact. All of the puppets get a layer of primer also before being painted:

Here's DJ BBC getting his initial coat of paint:

Here's him detailed and ready to turn tables:

His booth setup was sculpted out of magic sculpt epoxy putty:

Here's his gear after paint:

Broccoli and egg tables were sculpted, cast and painted:

Mushroom bar stools were sculpted, cast, etc and the bar was carved from foam:

Drayson working on the main set pieces. They were carved out of foam sheets and airbrushed to look like orange wedges initially. We thought tomatoes were more appropriate later on, so they were repainted for the final shoot.
