Hey there steemers, here is another one from the Wild Youth series. This one is based off of a rat-bat sorta flying creature with only one eye, called Dagger.
I wanted this encounter between Dagger and his hunter to feel inquisitive. The kid looks a bit nervous, posturing to hold his ground, while Dagger is taking more of an inquisitive approach to the situation. I think this creature is one of my stronger designs, and I'm incredibly happy with how it turned out. Would love to turn it into a puppet someday ;)
I've wanted to bring this character to life in the form of a puppet at some point. Because of its relative size to the hunters, I think it would be a perfect candidate, as opposed to some of the larger monsters I've drawn.
