What is it with Chelsea always dumping their finished products to Arsenal FC?From William Gallas to Yossi Benayon to Peter Cech ,David Luiz , Willian and now Jorginho.??
Most Arsenal fans no doubt are always quick to come for the head of Edu Gasper's head if we the fans aren't satisfied with their dealings in the transfer window especially the January transfer window.
The January transfer window came to an end yesterday the 31st. By the way , happy new month beautiful people . Pardon my manners !
The past month transfer window saw Arsenal recruit some new players to their fold . We saw Leandro Trossard for example joining the Gunners squad from Brighton for a fee of £27M as well as Polish player Jakub Kiwior joining Arsenal from Spezia for £22M. Deadline day witnessed Arsenal signing champions league winner , Jorginho from Chelsea for a fee of £12M.
As a devoted Arsenal fan , how do you see these signings?
For most Arsenal fans, the main scare and nightmare we do usually have is that of injuries raising it's ugly head when it affects certain important players of the squad. Thomas Partey obviously is such an integral and important player for the Mikel Arteta tutoured team. He obviously needs a cover/back up since Sambi Lokonga is really finding it hard to fill in the Ghanian big shoes .
Moises Caicedo is the man who's been attracting a lot of attention from Chelsea and Arsenal, who have made two bids. Brighton are saying he's not for sale.
I'm sure he would have been a perfect back up for Partey but all things seemed not to be equal as Brighton won't let him off the hook so easily .
Jorginho coming into picture I must say comes with its own bout of mixed feelings . Yes! he is experienced and all , but will he fit into the Arsenal gameplay effortlessly?
I'm quite hopeful though; he is indeed a better replacement for Lokonga who is currently on loan at Crystal Palace . He (Jorginho) plays the easy type of football (one-two passes style of play) which is the Arsenal model . So I expect him to fit into the fold as soon as possible.
19 more games to go in the Epl. For Arsenal FC slacking should not even be a word in their dictionary. All hands and feet must be on deck to see that the team doesn't bottle their chances of lifting the Epl trophy come May !
It will definitely not be an easy task as Manchester City , Newcastle and Manchester United won't stop grinding till the season comes to an end .
As we all know in football, it is really not over until it is actually over
Fingers Crossed!!
