Hi guys! Hope you're keeping it calm and cool so far today ? . Today will be my first time posting in this community. As a matter of fact I just got to know about this community this very morning and I didn't hesitate to join.
I'm a music person , I like listening to songs that are therapeutic to the soul . I'm quite certain I'll be doing more posts on here, as I would like to share my music playlists on here as well as talk about music related stuff too.
For a while now , I do mostly Nigerian music . By this I mean our own very dear afrobeats. Yeah right! Afrobeats to the world. I'm a sucker for Nigerian indegenous music both old school and new school.
Today which happens to be start of the weekend, some Nigerian artistes released some body of works . They include YBNL's Asake, Ckay , Omah Lay and old cat , Sean Tizzle .
For Asake , he released his sophomore album today , " Work of Art" he titles it . It is a follow up to his previous music album which he released last year " Mr Money With The Vibe ". His current album boasts of 14 tracks . As you all know , Mr Money doesn't disappoint. For me my favorite track on the album is track 9 , "I believe" . In your free time guys, check it out and you might like it as well .
Boyfriend to the girls as he tags himself Ckay released a deluxe album as well which is more like a sequel to his previous album "Sad romance" . He added 4 tracks to the original 11 track album. The songs are ; "capture my soul" featuring Joeboy , "nwayi" , "halleluyah" featuring Blaqbonez and "nneka" featuring Tekno . Sweet tunes if you ask me. You should try check this deluxe album if you have not ,it honestly won't be a bad idea.
Third on the list is Omah Lay . This talented act also released a deluxe to his previous album , "Boy alone" . This time around he added 6 extra tracks to the original 14 track music album . The songs are; "reason" , "come closer", "its yours", "imagine", "Joanna" and "soso remix" featuring Ozuna. I really do like "Joanna" , there's something jazzy about that tune.
Last on the list but not the least is Sean Tizzle . If you're conversant with the Naija music scene you will agree with me it's been a pretty long while since we heard from old goon, Sean Tizzle. If you remember he has had his time dominating the Nigerian music scene as he won the headies next rated award back in 2013 .
After a brief absence, he released his sophomore album which he titles "Dues" . His last studio album was in the year 2014 ,"The Journey" . His recent album boasts of 12 solid tracks . My favorite out of the 12 has to be track 11 , "sean plenty" . If you listen to it you will notice he sampled a R.Kelly classic .
It is the weekend and I'm guessing it should be a fun one too. Just Incase you're bored and you need your mood uplifted , I recommend this music playlist to you . Get your naija music playlist updated guys . Aurevoir!
