Perspective

perspective is a piece by the Mcguire Brothers of which 2 are here on hive ( @hilladigahackles & @lefthouse ) years ago Brain McGuire let me play with it Listen on Audius

Lyrix:

We speak the unspeakable truths
but then what is truth
it all lies in perception
but then science will tell you that perception
lays in the eye of the beholder

No two creatures
in the same universe
see the same truth
or experience the same reality

in truth we are makers of our reality
we are the makers of our fate
shift your perspective
and you shift your whole universe

A rose is a rose is a rose is a rose
or is it ?
a rose by any other name is it really the same ?
For one it is the symbol of immaculate beauty
for the other it is a thorn piercing their heart and their sensibilities

you see the past does not define your future
it is but a light to shine on your path
a lense to bring perspective
to choices of your creation

Dearly beloved we have come here together
to mourn the passing of our limitations
you see we are not who our parents told us we would be
or what our peers aspire to
we are our choices and our actions
we are at any given moment who we choose to be
what we choose to create
is it love
or is it hate
it’s up to you baby

so let me ask you this
if strip off the mentality of your reality TV
if you strip off the mindset of your MTV
if you strip off the visions of your religions
if you strip off the visions of your so called traditions
who are you underneath
and who do you want to be
do they align
and if they don’t
just trow it to the wind
and be who you want to be
it’s as simple as that
and just as hard
but if you grasp this you’ll go far

we are the creators of our reality
we are the creators of our fate
shift your perspective
shift your perspective
shift your perspective
shift your perspective
shift your perspective
and you will shift your entire universe
