Warm greetings fellow shadow hunters! š š š āØ š¤
For my entry in Shadow Hunters Community Contest/Show Me a Shadow: Round 336, I'd like to share a batch of photos that I took yesterday, in the late-afternoon sun, of the gorgeous dance of light and shadows across the huge leaves of giant taro - Leucocasia gigantea. This plant grows in a few places on the property, and I seek it out often because I know how great a photographic subject it is, in either sun or rain. Since this is a shadow Hunters contest, we'll go with some sun-filled shots!
Given that this plant's leaves are so large, up to 4 feet long by 2 feet wide, when the sun plays on its leaves, the show is often quite stunning. I got a good round of some very nice photos, more than I usually do in this context, of many different angles and leaves, to give you an idea of some of what I saw. I hope that you enjoy them as much as I did when I took them! š š š āØ š¤
