I haven't seen the series yet, but what I've heard is that it's very good and that its story is not as linear as the games, but much more direct to the books.

The story in series is almost completly changed compared to the books. Netflix went somewhere on their own not respecting the original source, but I still enjoyed the series as someone who didnt read book, I couldn't tell differences at first, untill I read about them.
