Hello HGC! Its been a long time since I posted in Hive Gaming Community. I stopped 3 years ago, before I was posting there every day for years, I was a big gamer so HGC was my favorite category, not only because I was gamer but also because I met many cool people here. A lot of things happened in my life, my Mother dying to cancer, me fighting depression, alcoholism, binge eating disorder and the feeling of me getting older was scary. When I was getting closer to hit 30, everything changed in my head - playing games, no job, no real goal in life. I couldn't enjoy games anymore. Everytime I launched a game I thought that I'm wasting time. All of this made me quit gaming and along with this quit Hive. Right now I'm 31 yo, but did that quit changed something? No. Even tho I stopped playing games, nothing changed. I'm still where I was in life, no job, no friendships, lonely and with no hope for future. Thats why I thought - it doesn't matter if I play games or not, knowing myself - I will waste time anyway if not playing games then doom scrolling internet or watching series, anime. Its just my nature to choose comfort zone instead of striving for something, learning something, developing a new skills. Thats why I decided to go back to gaming - I just realized, playing or not is not gonna affect how my live goes so why not just play if I like it? - especially playing CS2 which was my favorite game for past 15 years.
My comeback to CS2 - Faceit Season 9
3 days ago new season launched on faceit, season 9, with that we got a lot of updates like:
-Anti cheat improvements
-Soft elo reset
-Alltalk between halfs
-New badges, statistics, sound alerts and cool stuff
It was a perfect time to start again. I started my placements and played them in one day. I was doing 24hr tho and as you can see in the statistics I started strong, with a good stats, but later hours I was already too tired - I should stop and finish placementes next day, but I kept playing tired and as you can see my performance wasn't that good anymore. It was 10 matches and I ended up doing 6 wins and 4 loses. 3 of those lost matches were winnable, all 3 were lost just by 1 round and If a played slightly better I could've get a better final score.
However that was still not a bad score, I ended up with level 9 and 1827 elo. From this point I only needed 173 elo to get level 10, which is the highest level on the platform.
The next day started strong
After not sleeping for 24 hours, I got a lot of sleep and woke up energetic and motivated. I started my day by doing a Wim Hof breating technique (meditation), I ate something light, went to the gym, came back , warmed up for 10 minutes on aim_botz and headed up straight to matches.
As you can see the day started strong I was in a very good condition, first 3 matches I achived KD 1.27 1.70 1.80. I felt unstoppable and I achieved 1923 elo. I only needed 3 matches to level 10. But then I lost one match with KD 0.91, thats why I decided to stop playing. I saw that my performance already decreased and I was too tired to continue.
Final day
I woke up motivated as in previous day. Same thing, meditation, gym, light food - but my performance wasn't good at all. I only played one good match on dust2 (which I lost), the rest of matches I played very bad. I ended up the day with 3 wins 3 loses. I don't know why I played this bad, was it just a bad day? Or climbing from 1900-2000 elo is already my peak?
Well to know this I just need to play more, I will continue playing 3-6 games daily and see what happens. I plan to do more posting on Hive from now and I hope there are still people who are interesed in my journey.
