‎Hello Hives,
‎
‎It's another edition of indiaunited weekly contest and feel free to join here and below is the theme.
‎
‎Theme-:"What Is It Like to Have a Pet?"
‎Do you currently have a pet, or would you like to have one in the future?
‎
‎Which animal would you choose, and what do you love most about having a pet? What do you think is the hardest part of taking care of one?
‎
‎Share your experience and thoughts! 🐶🐱
‎
‎I have had pets before, so this topic actually brought back some memories for me.
‎
‎There was a time when I had both a cat and a dog. I really cherished them because, after spending some time with animals, you start to realise that they are more than just creatures you keep around the house. You get used to seeing them every day, feeding them, playing with them and sometimes even talking to them.

‎
‎My cat and dog were quite different from each other, and that was part of what made having both interesting. They each had their own behaviour and personality. There were times when they would make me laugh without even trying.
‎
‎Sadly, both of them eventually died.
‎
‎Losing a pet is something I did not really understand until I experienced it myself. You may think, "It's just an animal," but when you have cared for it for a while, it becomes part of your everyday life. Their absence can actually be felt around the house.
‎
‎If I had to choose another pet today, I would definitely go for a dog.
‎
‎The biggest reason is loyalty and ability to sense danger even before it happens. I have always liked the way dogs can become so attached to the people who care for them. There is something special about coming home and seeing a dog excited to see you. That kind of welcome can brighten your mood, even after having a difficult day.
‎
‎I also like the way dogs seem to understand their owners. Sometimes you don't even need to say much. They can notice when you are happy, angry or simply not yourself. Of course, they don't understand everything the way humans do, but their reactions can sometimes make it feel that way.
‎
‎But having a dog also comes with responsibilities. You have to feed it properly, provide clean water, keep its environment clean and pay attention to its health. You also have to be ready to spend time with it. A dog is not something you should keep simply because it looks nice or just for security purposes only.
‎
‎That, for me, is probably the hardest part of having a pet. You have to be consistent. Even when you are busy or tired, the animal still depends on you.
‎
‎I don't currently have a pet, but if I decide to get one again which I will surely do when I have my own house, a dog would be my first choice. I have had both a cat and a dog before, and although I loved them both, I think the loyalty and companionship of a dog are what I would appreciate most this time.
‎
‎Pets may not be able to speak our language, but they can still become an important part of our lives. And sometimes, the memories they leave behind stay with us much longer than we ever expect.
