Sometimes, first time experience is always varies based on the result or let me say the outcome it may brings but the most important thing is the lesson learnt to make us better in that field
In my last post, I talked about how bad my first experience in raising broiler birds were, even thou I did acquired a great knowledge about the situation which I think would enhanced my progress in my next project when raising another broiler birds.
WHAT I LEARNT SO FAR
•DISEASES :- I came to realized different kinds of diseases, e.g Chronic respiratory diseases (CRD), Wry neck, fowl pox and so on, when it's comes to broiler birds , what may be the causal, how to prevent such diseases and some precautions to be put in placed.
•DRUGS :- since I don't know about different kinds of diseases associated with broiler birds, how will one even know about the drugs to be used but since I got to know about different kinds of diseases that may affect broiler birds then I now have the knowledge to say that I know the drugs to use for my birds and also I know which one is more active than the one that is not.
•FACTOTS :- Just like we human being have different factors to strive in a specific environment so it's the broiler birds. I came to realized different kinds of factors associated with broiler birds to make them strive and stay healthy in their environment and those factors ..
✓A spacious area :- broiler birds need a great space for them strive very well because they really need to move from one place to another. If they are left in a small space just like what happened to my birds, it may affect their active movement especially a leg weakening since they don't have enough space to move around and stretch out their legs. And also a big space is needed because of the heat. Heat is one the major factor that can caused a great disaster to poultry birds productions and that is the more reason why a big space is needed for an open air.
✓Good environment :- broiler birds need a good environment to strive and when am talking about good environment then I mean, a clean environment. Broiler birds can't strive in a dirty environment as it may leads to different kinds of diseases to the birds because they are easily prone to diseases especially when they are in dirty environment.
✓Regular check up
✓Regular water supply
✓Good lightening
✓Regular cleaning of their cage and so on.
