Muchas veces las mujeres no nos damos cuenta del doble rol que estamos jugando dentro de nuestra casas, estamos de ama de casa Dueñas del hogar, mamás al 100% y en la calle podemos ser maestras, doctoras, aseadoras, ingenieras, vendedoras en fin trabajadoras en cualquier rama laboral y nos desempeñamos perfectamente, pero a la larga te das cuenta de que se ha vuelto cansón y has adquirido tantas responsabilidades, que el peso de sofoca, lo peor es cuando volteas buscando ayuda y nadie ni se ofrece, ni se hace responsable junto contigo, todos dan por sentado de que tú eres la que tiene que solventar.

Por muchos años trabajé como profesora en un Liceo y en el transcurrir de todos esos años, yo hice una pregunta a todas esas generaciones que pasaron por mis manos, y todos se reían pícaramente y contestaban lo que ya yo sabía de antemano, le preguntaba: "¿tú llenas las jarras de agua en tu casa? las jarras de la nevera"... y ellos contestaban, que no, muchos echaban el cuento de que su mamá peleaba porque en la nevera no había agua; y eso pasa en todos los hogares, la responsabilidad recae sobre las amas de casa, los demás se hacen los locos vacían la jarra, no la llenan, y esa es un reclamo constante en todos lados, en todos los estratos sociales, es como una cadena que venimos arrastrando de muchos años, en especial nosotras las mamás, cuando echamos la vista atrás, veo que hacíamos lo mismo con nuestras madres, o sea que es algo que es cíclico y yo creo que es hora de romperlo.

También suele pasar con las personas que cuidan enfermos y a los mayores, sobre él recaen todas las responsabilidades y los demás huyen de ellas, incluso esos que no ayudan para nada, se atreven a imponer sus comentarios y puntos de vista poco apropiados para los casos, como sí ellos estuvieran participando mano a mano junto al cuidador, cuando lo que hacen es incomodar e incordiar en el proceso, y cuando el cuidador de verdad necesita de su apoyo, nunca pueden, lo que a la larga causa un gran impacto en la salud de esta persona. Es por esto que hay que dejar claro a la hora de asumir esa responsabilidad, que está no recae en una sola persona, que es responsabilidad de todos y las tareas deben ser repartidas equitativamente, todo esto para evitar que el cuidador colapse y se deteriore su vida.

Es por esto que no se puede callar y conformarse con algo que los afecta de manera tan profunda en su vida, sobrellevar una situación en estas condiciones, no es resiliencia ante la adversidad, es un abuso reiterado a una persona, que después repercuten a nivel físico y psicológico, pues de tanto sufrir maltrato, se origina la depresión, lo que conlleva al aislamiento, además de la fatiga crónica, que lo convierte en una persona irritable, con cambios de humor, a causa del estrés emocional y físico, que a la larga lo vuelve una persona enojada, frustrada y triste, debido a toda esta esta afectación es mejor canalizar la situaciones para no encontrarnos sumergidos en estos problemas y aprender a poner un alto en el momento justo, para prevenir males a futuro, sin pena y sin culpa, pues defender tu derecho a vivir y disfrutar de tu tiempo en esta tierra es responsabilidad de cada uno de nosotros y debemos aprender del viejo refran, que sí no nos queremos nosotros mismos, no vamos a ser capaces de querer a nadie.
