Nowadays, it is common for people to stay in hotel especially when they visit a place either for work, holiday etc. My wife and me stay in a hotel for seven nights during our visit to Singapore. It is a nice hotel being linked to mini market and some eateries. Therefore, it is convenient and comfortable to be at the hotel.
However, we are aware that hotel is not our home. We do need to go home when our visit comes to an end. We may look forward to be at the same hotel during our future visit. The reality is that stay in a hotel is only temporary.
Should we realistically think further, even our home on earth is still temporary though we may refer to it as our permanent home. It will come a time we may need to relocate ourselves to another place, and thus have to leave our house, a home we love.
I have a friend living in another country who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. He passed away peacefully two weeks later. It is a sad news. But we are comforted and know that he has passed on and departed for heaven, the eternal home. And the heaven is truly the permanent home.
如今不少人会因为工作、度假而到外地，並需要住宿在酒店。妻子和我在新加坡期间，便一连在酒店住了七晚。这是一间不错的酒店，它与迷你市场和一些飱馆相连；所以入住该酒店既方便又舒适。
然而我们知道酒店不是自己的家，结束行程时我们便需回家。我们可能期待在未来可以再住在相同的酒店，而根据现实，也只会短暂的住在酒店。
我们是否也应该进一步意识到我们在地球上也是暂时的，即使我们可以称自己的住家为永久的家园。但是，到了时候，我们可能会需要搬迁到另一个地方，也因此必须离开自己的住家，並可能是我们非常喜欢的家。
我有一位在另一个國家的朋友最近發现患有胰腺癌，两周后他便安祥地去世了。这是一个令人悲伤的消息，但我们还是感到安慰因为相伩他巳经进入天堂，即永恒的家园。
