The Hakka people is one of the four major groups in Taiwan. Their forefathers migrated to here several hundred years ago. They maintain their culture and the older generation could still communicate in Hakka dialect.
Although there has been integration of different groups of people in Taiwan, the Hakka people and their unique culture would continue to prevail. In view of integration and diversity, there is something for each people group to be aware of in a multi-ethnic society. Indeed there is a need to preserve one’s culture. But the people group should be critical of one’s own culture. As there is no perfect human culture, we can enrich one another by learning from the culture of another people group.
客家人是台湾四大族群之一。几百年前，他们的祖先迁移到了这里，到如今很多客家人仍保持自己的文化，而老一辈人仍然可以用客家方言彼此交流。
虽然台湾融合了不同群体，但客家人和他们独特的文化将继续盛行。鉴于融合性和多元化，每个族群都需要有多元社体的意识。人确实需要有个别的文化，但是人类没有完美的文化，所以需要懂得批判自己的文化，同时我们可以通过学习别个群体的文化而使生活变得更加丰富多彩。
