I was reading about a religious sect which had it's roots in India. Hare Krishna Movement believe in life after death. In their own understanding, anyone who ate fish or meat in his lifetime will reincarnate to become a flesh eating beast like leopard or lion! So they stuck to a purely vegetarian diet.
There are another set of people who believes death ends it all; so their slogan was "let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die" or "You only live once (YOLO)". They lived ostentatious lives.
The truth is , death is certainly not the end; for "if only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are to be pitied more than all men(1 Corinthians 15:19)". There is coming a time when death shall be swallowed up in victory and we shall reign in eternity with the Lord.
