We live in an era where we are running after the inventions of men and trying to catch up at an unprecedented rate. Time and season have changed. Ideas and innovations are competing based on appropriateness and the governance of man is all about to be affected in a more productive way.

The political terrain we find enticing in this age is worrisome. This is due to the fast and new issues coming up daily and which many of them are beyond the thoughts of those at the helms of affairs.

Several countries have had elections in the past 3 to 4 years and we can say that basically many of them are failed governance. This is so because we are still as a world wallowing in the myopic nature of what government should do and can do for us.

The effect of their decision resonates more on the masses than on the ruling class. It is no gainsaying that we all want a government that is vibrant, proactive, youthful and resourceful. Most countries want a leader that can stir their populace aright and in the right direction.

However, this result is still far fetched in most countries obviously.

In Nigeria, there will be Presidential election this Saturday 23 February 2019.

Most youths who are educated are dissatisfied with the present government and would do anything to remove the incumbent. However, not all of them are armed enough to do it. This is because many will not go to the polling booth nor will they encourage their siblings.

When we have lesser number of educated people taking the decision of their country in their hands, the decision will be made by people who have nothing to loose nor any plan for their future.

We cannot continue to fold our arms. We need youthful, resourceful and sharp understanding by whomsoever should run the affairs of Nigeria. This is the best way we can progress as a country.

May the best candidate win in the upcoming elections

God bless Nigeria
