Proposed suggestions for documents viewer application

Components

Documents viewer is an open-source android application that can be downloaded from google play store freely, it has a lot of features that makes Its users prefer using it. It is free and easy to use.

Proposal

1. Proposal to ads the sort by feature to the homepage options in such a way that after clicking on sort by, a pop up containing different ways by which the documents can be sorted and arranged comes up, eg by date, by alphabetical order, by most used/open. Etc.

2. Inclusion of the view option also should be done as illustrated in the picture below, after user clicks on the view menu, a pop-up displaying whether list or grid comes up for the user to select based on their own personal preference.

Benefits

1. The sort by option is really needed so as to enable users arrange their documents the way they want, for example sort by date,alphabetically, frequently used etc.
   It is most useful for people that has a lot of documents files on their device and which can take minutes to actually go through everything and locate the one they are looking for. Also, users that download ebooks to learn and study from needs the eBook they're currently studying to be at the top so they can just use the option of sort by frequently used documents to keep it at the top, since there is no even option to pin to top. This will be greatly helpful.

2. View feature should be added because even almost all the new technology apps now has it just because of the benefit of flexibility it offers,for example users should be able to select how they want their files to be displayed on home page, that is, either listing or grid/block method. Most times list accommodates more files on a screen at once than grid.
   And it also depends on the user preference to know the method they like most which is why the feature should be included by the developers of documents viewer.
   The flexibility it offers to different users to make preference is the major benefit here.
