Things are not always black and white. This is not something new. Life is filled with grey area's. This also applies for violence. Defending yourself when you get robbed is pretty white. Being the robber in the same example is pretty black. So is beating up pregnant women. And killing Hilter is pretty much all white again. What if you had to do either both of those things or neither? Do evil to stop another, greater, evil. I guess that's what the entire war was all about so its not that much of a dilemma..
