Hello Hive Learners,
Welcome to task 4 of the Newbies Initiative where we learn and grow together.

When I joined Hive, I was only using Ecency. I found it to be very user-friendly and easy to navigate and do everything you need there (or at least the basic things).
The first tab that we have is “Blog” where we can see all the posts that we wrote, as well as the ones that we have rebloged from other authors with the rest of the community. It also has a cool feature called “pinned post” that will be first visible on the profile page. In my case, it’s the first post that I wrote that tells more about me.
The second tab contains all of our “Posts”
The third tab contains all of our “Comments”.
The fourth one contains all the “Replies” we have received to our comments.
The fifth tab shows us all the “Communities” we are a part of, and we also have the option to create a community of our own.
The sixth tab is probably the most interesting as it shows us our “Wallet” where we can see how many Hive coins we have available, and how many of them we have staked in order to have Hive Power so our votes are more beneficial to those that we upvote.
We can also see how many HBD we have available, and how many are in the “savings account”
On the right side of the screen (when using the computer) we can see 4 options: Hive (Wallet) is opened automatically once we press Wallet at the top (6th tab). We also have Ecency (Points) that we get once we upvote, comment, post, reblog others’ posts, etc. We can use them to boost or promote our own posts and expose them to larger audiences. We also have Engine (Tokens) where we have visibility of all the tokens we have gathered or bought at that point in time. Finally, we have SPK (Tokens) which to be completely honest I have no idea what they are for or how to use them. If you know, fire up those comments below.
The seventh tab contains all the settings we can set up within our account, as well as the permissions we have. It’s definitely something that should be set up if you are reading this post in your first days of using Ecency.
The developers that made Ecency really did a great job with it. However, I noticed a bug when scheduling posts and that is that the photo of the thumbnail that you select when you schedule it is not the same as the one that ends up being posted, rather it is automatically set as the first one.
Also, it would be good if Ecency would give us a preview to whom the promoted posts are being visible or if we can select whether to promote it to the community where the post was made or another community or the entire ecosystem.
I am also used to using LeoFinance because it’s like a Twitter built on Hive, I like that very much. I would have included the photo of it, but there is an error with the connection to it, so I will have to add it later.
Another one that I like using is Peakdbecause it has the same features as Ecency, but it also has something I have not found on Ecency and that is analytics. The cool thing about it is that you can see how well your posts are performing, and how active you are (posts, comments, etc.), as well as the rewards you are getting and from whom. It’s an interesting insight to have in order to improve your performance on Hive.
