Hello Steemit friends,
I am new here and i would like to introduce myself to you. Tubi is a nick name given me by my flatmates. My name is Tugberk. (It is a Turkish name). I am doing my master's in Sociology here in Berlin. Moved 2 years ago. I guess it was the best decision that i have ever made. I would prefer you to call me tubi as well.
I have heard about the steem two months ago. Honestly, at the beginning i was prejudiced. Because there were lots of people talking about the whole project as if its one and only concern is making money. That rings the alarm bells for me. Then, one night a friend of mine explained me the basic idea and underlying principles really well. I see lots of people producing really quality content here. Blogs, Vlogs, poetry, artistic creations... Most of the material are really high quality. And most importantly i admire way people interact via comments. When you compare this with the way people treat the others on other platforms like youtube or twitter, it is asthonishingly welcoming. But it is so sad to observe that people tend to bully each other when there are no form of capital is at stake. But in one way or another, the steemit system looks promising with regard to this.
I think i will be sharing my reading notes (it won't be boring i promise), travel photos, my drawings, aaaand cat related things here. I will try to do that in English. I am not so satisfied with my current level of English and i think being shy about it is not helping me to take it up to the next level. Since the steemit is a welcoming platform, i think i can try to express myself in English without hesitation. Because i am %100 sure that no one will be mocking me here for that.
And i would be more than happy if the native speakers could correct my grammar mistakes through the comments
