Only units with magic attacks may be used.
Use Phase, Void, Void Armor, and Magic Reflect to counter magic attacks.
Hello Splinters Family, Welcome back
The ruleset for this week is Wands Out. Wands Out is the only magic-attack monster that can be used on the battlefield. For this ruleset, you can use Silent, Phase, Void, Void Armor, and Magic Reflect to counter magic attacks.
| ABILITIES | ICON | |
|---|---|---|
| PHASE | Magic attack can miss this Monster (using the same hit/miss calculation as for Melee and Ranged attacks) | |
| SILENCE | Reduces the Magic Attack of all enemy Monsters | |
| VOID | Reduced damage from Magic attacks. Attack damage gets halved (rounded up), except attack 1 which deals 0 damage | |
| VOID ARMOR | Magic attacks hit this Monster's armor before its Health | |
| MAGIC REFLECT | When hit with Magic damage, does reduced Magic damage back to the attacker. Deals damage equivalent to the attacker's damage divided by 2, rounded up. The damage is reflected even if the attacker does not hit | |
For me, you can use the Void + Silence abilities for the defensive and include poison abilities for the attack if the opponent uses the same plan you have in the defensive plan. For offensive, you can use an additional magic attack summoner and mix up Magic Reflect + Amplify abilities. Amplify abilities increase the return damage of magic reflected to the attacker.
MY BATTLE
MY BATTLE
The entry I will share came from one of the tournaments I joined in the Silver League, which is the Poseldar Wild Silver Invitational. Suddenly, I finished this tournament in 140th place.
I chose Chanseus the Great as my summoner because one of the rulesets is weak magic, in which the magic attacks hit armor before reducing health. And the presence of armored UP abilities, which give +2 armor to all monsters, The Chanseu repair helps to repair the damaged armor in the battle.
BATTLE LINE-UP
1st Position
DOCTOR BLIGHT - A magic attacker with affliction, camouflage, and poisoning abilities. The Poison of Blight is the main plan for this battle.
In our battle, my opponent used Brutos as a summoner and Djinn Oshannus. Oshannus has void ability. My Doctor Blight has no damage for Oshannus. Because of the repair of Chenseus opponent Oshannus has no damage also in my Doctor Blight.
In round 1, I'm lucky that Doctor Blight poisoned opponent Oshannus. In every round, Oshannus gets damaged from the poison. It takes 6 rounds before Oshannus dies in the poison.
LINK TO THE FULL BATTLE
In order to carry out my strategy successfully, I'll utilize a monster that can give poison. Because I expect my opponent will use monsters with void abilities.
The repair of Chenseus is a big help in this battle because of the presence of weak magic and armored-up abilities.
