I agree that abundance is the key. Taxing people is the opposite of abundance. Layer 2 solutions make it so people earn more posting to Leo than they do on Hive as it is. Hive is the utility token needed to do transactions, the demand on it is woefully low, somewhere around 10k to 14k accounts transacting per day, though many are just upvotes from curation trails. @penguin pablo has good data on that. But overall we just need more users doing things and the platform will be great. It's not about making money, it's about decentralized social media for the masses so we have free speech. That has lots of value but most people dont advertise hive that way. Imagine if we got 10 percent of Gab or Parlers traffic here. Hice would probably be worth ten to 20 usd.
Instead of doing things to tax people we should bring people on board. Taxes in government only get misused, same with adding a tax to Hive. Misused, ill conceived, and theft.
