Instead of calling it a tax, which is not a very marketing friendly term, we can call them speculator fees (or whatever we come up with).
Still a tax. For example, calling "The Patriot Act" Patrioct Act doesn't magically make it about Patriotism, calling it the Patriot Act is using langauge to disguise what's really happening.
The goal is to try and make as high a APY as possible to lure in investors.
I assume you realize we already have this built in, just need to change it to 10%. Heck, you are so concerned about giving APY to shareholders, why not make it 25%? 50%? 200%? I think 10% is too low.
Usually when saying "lure in" anything it's a negative thing and scammy.
Making APY as high as possible can be done by changing the code to give more in interest for being powered up, it's at what 3 percent right now, just change it to 10 percent. This fixation of taking away from others to give to whales and dolphins is extremely troubling.
Again I see that you are advocating taking from others to give to whales and dolphins which are the long term holders in general.
Theres absolutely no reason to tax people, simply change a variable from 3 percent to 10 percent.
Paying a fee to instantly powerdown is also pure nonsense. The problem is that this system is setup for 13 week power downs, not that we need a tax for people to pay for powering down faster.
One could simply add code that allows instant power down of 25 percent, but I have to wait a month to do it again. Again, no tax needed.
None of these things have to have a tax on it for them to be fixed. You are obsessed with adding taxes to this blockchain yet are against taxes from the govt, right? So because you're in charge its somehow different.
And when the short term speculators have had their fun and move on, the long term investors are rewarded.
New people coming into Hive are taxed so that the people who have been here for years get some of their money for powering up, this creates a barrier that people don't want to power up hive and lose 5% to whales/dolphins. Again, there's no good reason to add a tax, you can simply adjust these numbers if you want to
In order to compensate for these numbers now going to 10%, you will need to increase inflation by 10%. Abundance is the key here, not adding taxes.
