When I joined over 2 years ago I read up all about Steem and Steemit, and how there was a ninjamine for a large amount of Steem. From what I understood it was 30 million to 40 million, turns out it was more like 60 million or so. That is quite a lot of staked power that can centralize everything, out of a maximum of 330Million its a high percentage.
If it was like 1 to 5% I wouldn't have considered it much of a threat, but 60 million out of 330 million is about 18% and can be a large deciding factor. I don't think I really posted publicly about it before but I have said previously in podcasts or discord conversations that the stake should have been nulled out.
The problem I see is that most people simply write off things like this and think it can never happen. It happens all the time as psychopaths try to gain control over something. Justin Sun clearly is some sort of dictator who wants to control things. He is buying out decentralized tech like Bit Torrent and now Steemit, Tron masquerades itself as decentralized but isn't. Not to mention Justin Sun is an acolyte of Jack Ma and the CCP.
When JS bought out steemit it was filled with naive posts about how great it was for the Steem price. I feel like I am living in fantasy world where up is down and down is up, how could I be one of the only few that thought JS buying Steemit was bad? A lot of people just simply do not pay attention and it is sad to say that is the norm.
RE: REPOST from STEEM - Steem is centralized shitcoin "Justin Sun's Steem", it is 100% controlled by Justin Sun... Decentralized Steem is dead
