You have what you need to succeed. Ignore fear and see Opportunity

As the world heads into a potential recession, self-defeating self-talk abounds.
A recession is when fortunes are made. It's not just a platitude for the ailing masses.
Make sure to check your fear. It is true that inflation is running wild, GDP was down last quarter and the supply chain is ailing and the news is blasting fear left and right 24/7. I know people suffering from the economic downturn, the ruination of the COVID-19 lockdowns and life's slings and arrows. Everyone I knew was doing well simultaneously during the early Spring, and I knew the other shoe was overdue to drop. And drop it did.
The media thrives on fear because it relies on viewership. The business model of the media is attention-seeking. We can also seek attention during our darkest hour or we can be envious of the good fortune of others. That translates to a toxic soup, and is analogous to crabs in a barrel stopping each other from progress and growth.
You have what you need to succeed. Your will, intelligence, wit and drive. I have been broke, almost evicted and left in the lurch. My credit has been ruined, but I have a house and a job and am building wealth. The only reason I made it was because of my God-given grit and will to succeed.
As cliche as it sounds, don't give up and don't surrender. Storm the gates of life's treavils.
