Ever since I was in my early teens, I have had a business or side hustle to make money so I could pay bills and invest.
As a teen, I wanted to make some extra cash, but we were in a major recession. I knew I could do basic lawncare, and so I set up some fliers in my neighborhood. Lo and behold that many seniors reached out to me for all kinds of lawncare. I easily made $20-$30 per hour mowing lawns, cutting brush and painting sheds outside.
The ROI can be very high here. Making sure you arrive on time and doing the job well is the bread and butter of the business. Keep enhancing your skills and be ready for long hours. This can be expanded into car washing as well for even more returns for basic washes.
eBay and Mercari are two large players in the e-commerce space. eBay is a tried and true e-commerce name, and Mercari is an up and commer. The strategy is the same, and I like to see collectibles cards I get for cheap online.
I use dollar store shipping materials and try to get clients to come back to my store. My prices aren't the lowest, but I make sure to ship as soon as possible and make between 50-80% profit after fees and shipping. Not bad.
You would be amazed to find how lucritive paid surveys can be online. Over the past two years I have made over $2,600 taking surveys daily. This something I do before and after work for around an hour a day. The ROI is low, but the good news is that the work can be done anytime for no setup cost, and the money can be invested into cryptocurrency and stocks.
Those were my best hustles. As a new recession approaches, I am looking to start even more hustles to keep my family afloat.
