Agreed. I think God was pretty smart. It's interesting that this "rest" doesn't apply to just humans. He includes the animals and even the land. God knew that if you harvested non-stop that the soil would go bad. He wanted to give the land a break to allow it to become nutrient-rich again for further farming.

That being said, at least 1 day of rest is good. But for Christians, that day is the Sabbath (Saturday).
