What's up plebs?!
Today I'd like to show you another of my shiny silver German coins. Once again, it's a commemorative coin, this time from 2005.
Let's check it out:
So, this is a coin commemorating the 1200 years of Magdeburg (1200 JAHRE MAGDEBURG), the capital of the German state Saxony-Anhalt.
On the coin they have decided to depict the cathedral of Magdeburg aka the cathedral of Saints Maurice and Catherine. It's a Lutheran cathedral and the oldest Gothic cathedral of Germany.

Here's how the coin looks from the other side
The standard stuff. Minting date, denomination etc etc and of course a unique design of the angry imperial chicken. This one a bit on the skinny side though 😄
And as always, we get a unique inscription on the edge:
It reads
MAGADOBURG 805..MAGDEBURG 2005..
Usually Germans are really creative with these inscriptions but this time they got a bit lazy. Just the city's founding/coin issue dates.

When it comes to silver we have 18 g of 0.925 purity. Nice and juicy ❤️
