"Alpaca Abstracts."
The 'cuteness factor' of an alpaca is at the highest end of the range as far as I am concerned. But that was before I added a few different digital effects to one of my original photos and suddenly.......the 'cuteness factor' jumped right off the scale.
I love the shape of alpacas face with their long necks, cute ears and large eyes, complete with enviable eye lashes. They are very sociable animals and prefer to dwell in family groups but can become aggressive when threatened. and can live up to 20 years.
Their appearance is similar to that of small llamas. The Alpaca (Vicugna Pacos) are a domesticated South American Camelid and the two types are Suri and Huacaya.
Alpacas were bred specifically for their fibre from which knitted and woven items are made. Alpaca fleece is apparently very soft and silky to wear.
Most garments are machine made and the fibre is softer than sheep's wool and has no lanolin in it which makes it hypoallergenic. There are over 52 natural colours classified from Peru, 12 from Australia and 16 in the United States.

THANK YOU FOR VIEWING. HAVE A GREAT DAY.
