I can’t say I agree with your notion that the Constitution is evil.

With that said, I think a good argument can be made that we would’ve been better off sticking with the Articles of Confederation. With no counterfactual, we will never know.

In any event, I encourage my students to think deeply about the principles of federalism, what that means, and how keeping legislative and regulatory authority at the state level would solve or mitigate a lot of our nation’s current problems.
