Hola amigos, hoy voy hablaros de una curiosa e interesante variedad de chirimoya, en realidad es un híbrido entre anona chirimoya y anona squamosa recibiendo las virtudes de ambas especies, su nombre comercial es ‘Red Hybrid Atemoya’
It was created in Israel, from there they sent me some spikes which I could graft onto some of my adult trees, coming to fruition the following year, being able to boast that I was the first producer of this incredible fruit in Spain.
Fue creada en Israel, de allí me enviaron unas púas las cual injerte sobre algunos de mis árboles adultos, llegando a fructificar al año siguiente, pudiendo presumir de que fui el primer productor de esta increíble fruta en España.
The fruit is oval, and conical towards the apex. The skin is very thin and made up of several areoles, which form fleshy bumps.
El fruto es oval, y cónico hacia el ápice. La piel es muy fina y constituida por varias areolas, que forman protuberancias carnosas.
The fruit can weigh up to 500 grams, and can measure 8 to 16 centimeters in diameter. It matures 4 to 6 months after flowering. The color of the skin varies from blue-green, to a gray-pink color. The pulp is generally white in color, but may be tinted pink. Atemoya combines a variety of flavors: vanilla, blueberry, and pineapple. Its sweetness is intense and is offset by a fruity and slightly acid touch. The texture is very fine. The fruit may contain 10 to 30 shiny, dark brown seeds.
La fruta puede pesar hasta 500 gramos, y puede medir de 8 a 16 centímetros de diámetro. Se madura 4 a 6 meses después de la floración. El color de la piel varía de verde-azuz, hasta un color gris-rosado. La pulpa es generalmente de color blanco, pero puede estar teñida de rosa. La atemoya combina una variedad de sabores: vainilla, arándano, y piña. Su dulzor es intenso y se compensa con un toque afrutado y ligeramente acido. La textura es muy fina. El fruto puede contener de 10 a 30 semillas brillantes, de color marrón oscuro.
