Hi guys it’s me again with another dose of excitement. As I said in my last movie review, I’ll be doing a series of Christmas movies on the theme #family well that’s what Christmas is all about isn’t it? So today’s review will be on the Mexican Christmas movie titled “Grumpy Christmas”.
Ever had that one family member that likes things going his/her way and it’s the most. Well I’m sure everyone does either Nuclear or extended. The uniqueness about this movie is that instead of the trouble being caused by the youths, it was in fact the opposite when it was actually the elders in the house that continually did all the shenanigans. The movie is 80% comedy and 20% romance so you have no choice to love the movie.
This movie didn’t really need that much casts to make it amazing.

The movie wasDirected by Raúl Martínez. The movie “Grumpy Christmas” was filmed in Mexico,Puerto Aventuras which is a city in the Mexican state of Quintana Roo.
And extended family decides to go out for Christmas plans to the beach celebrating Christmas with your sister-in-law. But the Christmas the hoped for turned sideways when the two elders had different plans on how to celebrate Christmas and Alicia won’t cave in since it’s her house and they are just guests.But Servando who has always had things go his way decided to frustrate her efforts. As the plan was to spend Christmas together as a family each of them also had to battle their individual demons.

Servando and Alicia
Almost all the characters in this movie I had someone do it face-to-face starting from the the ones we all know by now Servando and Alicia. They had it coming when they both disagreed about Christmas. Alicia started the prank when she left the net to Servando opened in the middle of the night exposing him to mosquitoes.
Since then, they started playing pranks on themselves one after another until Servando went to the extreme out of ignorance and cut down a beautiful tree in the garden for the Christmas unknown to him that it was planted by Alicia and her late sister (Alva’s Mum).

This wasn’t necessary a fight but more of a misunderstanding when the parents weren’t on the same page on what to decide for their adopted son. Thereby confusing the poor child who also got angry at them.
Renato and Gala.
These two found there self in a situation when they failed to define their relationship from the on set. But Renato started falling in love but when he tried to define the relationship, he discovered that it was a one sided feeling. But the fact is that Gala was to scared to commit in a relationship.
After Fran and his dad were on the road on Christmas Day, they decided to stop and have some Christmas dinner (fast food) when they got talking and discovered it was not Christmas without the family then they decided to turn back. Fate had something installed when they discovered that the vehicle couldn’t start. In an attempt to figure out what was wrong, they saw the gifts the helpers hid as a request from Alicia when she found Willy snooping.
In the meantime, Alma was also feeling resentful after she realized she missed him and regretted not stopping him.
Gala later realized her feelings for Renato when he stood his ground that he is loved and wants to define their relationship and he is not a toy. Good for him lolz 😂
After Fran and his father finally got a ride back to the beach after so many attempts, they saved Christmas as the whole lost hopes especially Willy when he discovered there were no gifts. Fran also found out that he was going to be a dad soon.
For Servando, he got the girl or should I say woman and they lived happily ever after. Just kidding lolz they went on the boat that Christmas evening where they spent some romantic time together.
