I am a late comer to the Master System, only ever really seeing it in action after 1998 or so when I discovered emulation. It was mindblowing how this was not more popular, then I learned about the practices Nintendo used with retailers and developers/publishers, and who can forget that horrendous box art Sega went with?
Didn't help they trusted Tonka with marketing in the United States either.
Just so many things against such a great console. Such a shame.
