The inherent nature of brawlers and their repetitive nature is a hard sell for most at $40. Even back in the day this genre received bad reviews over price points due to the fact that there simply is not a lot of variety in the enemies or levels. There is not much depth to brawlers like there is one-on-one fighters, which hurts the replayability for many.

I personally love the genre when done right but so few get it right.

In todays world, I just think $40 would be a hard sell, especially for a brawler.
