This is definitely one of those surreal experiences that have a way of growing on us the more we play. I have played this (and Odyssey) for years and let me tell you - the character has never said a word (that I know of) but I feel a connection with him, I feel bad when he fails, I cheer when clearing a vast chasm, etc.
