I always wanted to get Nintendo Power but not being on newstands made it incredibly hard. Some stores actually had subscriptions then sold the issues in their stores (at an increased price of course) so I was able to get a few issues that way.

Subscribing was so expensive, especially when I was barely a teen and mostly relying on a few bucks a week allowance for my party money.
