I skimmed over your article just in amazement at all the stuff that can be done in the Sims now. I played the first one, horribly addicted to it, then played the second a lot and barely touched the 3rd and 4th games. For me, that first game was magical, so unique, and interesting. As it went on, I guess life just got in the way of the magic (that and my computer at the time sucked horribly).
Looking at articles like yours makes me want to get back into it, if I had time. Maybe one day I will win the lottery and be able to dive back in. For me it was a magical series, still is - I just have to admire from afar.
Great article by the way, you definitely piqued my interest in this franchise, something I had not thought about in a while. I may go dig out my copies of the first game and the expansions.
Those mods are amazing. Like so much great stuff fans add. Stay amazing.
