The Dark Book is indeed a wonderful read. I have a copy and whip it out whenever the power here goes out. I was not aware of the updated version, I will have to track that down. There is also one for good comic characters, I cannot remember the name at the moment, I will dig it out and let you know. I find the villains more interesting as many became villains for more interesting reasons than just "I was born with it".
