I completely agree with you about playing a ROM on other hardware. Especially Nintendo games. They certainly make the hardware for their games (just look at that Gamecube controller for instance).
I remember getting a deal on this game back in 2003 or so off eBay. I won an auction for it at something like $7 shipped. I did not have a Game Boy and none of the local game stores had a decent price on one (everyone wanted me to buy the GBA) so I ended up buying one off eBay as well. Lol.
It sucked coming home from work for almost a week and seeing the game but no way to play it. What a great weekend that was though when that Game Boy showed up that Friday.
