What is interesting about Night Trap and Sewer Shark is, they were not made for Sega CD. They were actually created for a never launched Hasbro console that was expected in 1987 or so. It was supposed to use VHS tapes for the video and the console provide the digital overlays.
These games sat in limbo for about half a decade before release.
Imagine them being released on a console BEFORE the Sega Genesis was released, during the height of the Nintendo NES days. It might have been Hasbro in those hearings instead of Sega.
