Oh yeah, completely agree, this version is worse than the original. It doesn't "feel" like a Pac-Man game due to many things missing (such as the side tunnels).

Have you played Jr. Pac-Man on the Atari 2600? It is quite good and shows that a much better Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man could have been released on the classic Atari.
