Oh yeah, Piko Interactive are pretty cool. They obtain the rights and release games legally. Many times they finish the games or port them to new platforms as well.

Unfortunately, the way piracy is, someone will rip these indie games to ROM and distribute them for free. That is why I mentioned it in the article, it is going to happen so why not get in on it a little bit?

Piko Interactive does this in a great way. They license emulators as needed and release these games via platforms that are harder to pirate but still offer digital. Steam and GoG.com are two that I know they use for digital distribution.
