Aladdin's Castle was somewhat popular, we had them here in Arkansas in a couple of mall's. Remember when the mall was the place to be on the weekend?
Montgomery Ward was one of those stores that did not survive the 90's, I believe by 1995 or so they were completely out of business and done with. It is wild because if you look up the history of video games, MW was integral to the success of the Atari 2600 - Montgomery Ward was probably the largest retailer carrying the platform.
I remember it mainly because it was the first store I had ever been to that was two stories. They had an elevator and escalators that could accommodate a person and a shopping cart.
