RE: Fatal Fury Collection Coming to Sharp X68000 Z Computer
Right? I am here for it though. Gaming has finally reached that point where even small niches see support from companies.

RE: Toki Gets Remastered Work in Progress Release for Commodore 64
I agree. I was a huge fan of the arcade game and have played most home ports, even the Atari Lynx portable, over the years. By the time this came to the C64 I was living in the backwoods of Arkansas and

RE: Bubsy 4D Gets Release Date and Platforms Revealed
My apologies for missing your comment, we got hit with a snow storm and I was out of it for the last week or so. I agree, DRM sucks.

RE: Classic R-Type Sidescrolling Shooter Getting Remake called R-Type Dimensions III
I would love to be in a position to purchase one of the physical editions for PC but I will have to support this one on PC with just a digital purchase. Hopefully if enough of us support companies giving

RE: Classic R-Type Sidescrolling Shooter Getting Remake called R-Type Dimensions III
Growing up in Northern California, there were no stores that sold computer games, at least not for the C64 (they had Amiga and DOS but barely - NES was their main focus). I missed out on so many games

RE: Ghosts βn Goblins Gets Fan Port to the Commodore Plus/4
I think you are right, the GBA got a remaster that was really good. Honestly, I think Nintendo, and 3rd parties, mostly handled the GBA right with the majority of games released for it. Old favorites returned

RE: Ghosts βn Goblins Gets Fan Port to the Commodore Plus/4
I agree. The sad thing about the success of the C64 was just how many computers, by Commodore and not, that lived in that shadow. It was really the NES of computers.

RE: Could Game Recompiling Be the Future of Remastering?
Definitely a case of the game finally looking like we often remember it looking, knowing good and well that it was nowhere that good looking back in the day. π€£

RE: Could Game Recompiling Be the Future of Remastering?
I completely agree there. I know there are a few remakes/remasters that did reinstate stuff cut from the game originally, or added new content, but it is rare (and often unwanted by fans). In those cases,

RE: Halo Zero Fan Port of Xbox Classic Comes to Genesis Commdore Amiga and More
I agree, it would be awesome to see this optimized for the Amiga, I am sure it would likely be absolutely amazing. I love the Genesis and it does have some quirks but man, in the right hands, it can produce

This is too cool! I am a fan of visual novels too, I will have to hunt this one down to see what started it all!

I am nearly 50 years old and it still feels like last week when I first played Super Mario Bros in the front of a Safeway in Northern California. I can vividly remember the birthday I got a NES with Duck

Always awesome to see fans enjoying things they wanted. I never knew Nintendo made a Game & Watch release of Super Mario Bros 1 and 2 like this. Too cool.

RE: Alone in The Dark for Sega Genesis Demo in The Works
It definitely doesn't bother me. I enjoy slower paced games now. Back then we had nothing to compare to so we didn't understand it was running slow on purpose or due to hardware. Gamers today are used

RE: Alone in The Dark for Sega Genesis Demo in The Works
I know what you mean about speed in these games. I was in my early 20s when Resident Evil hit the PlayStation and loved it. I played up to part 3 on PSOne, then some Code Veronica on Dreamcast. I then

Oh yeah, it looks wonky as all hell but the graphical look is there. I look at this as one of those "super deformed" takes, toys are doing it now with small bodies and huge heads but gaming did
