The way they handled reaching the final boss absolutely ruined it for anyone playing on later revisions of the console. A great game but mishandled quite a bit at the end.

Only seeing this in magazines back in the day made it almost magical looking. I never played it though, might have to find a copy one day.

Right?!? It is amazing what developers today are able to get out of classic hardware.

It is not my game, I am just posting news articles about it to help get the game in front of more fans. It certainly looks amazing, I hope it is available digitally as well as physical copies.

I mainly stuck with Taki, in many situations it felt unfair using her but the people I was playing against were much better than me so I took whatever edge I could get. I also liked Mitsurugi a lot.

Oh man, I was beyond infatuated with Soul Edge here in North America on the PlayStation. I bought the special controller with the game as soon as the local EB to me got it in. I was dropping a good $10

Oh goodness, not Ninja Gaiden. I played the home version at a friends house and immediately chose something else to trade for the weekend when I saw it was nothing like the arcade game. I almost bought

I remember the local Safeway getting this in their front area, where the carts were placed. Whomever was in charge of what was available there removed Shinobi (I missed that one) and a standup Afterburner

Even Simon's Quest was hard but it was more due to the translation we received rather than near impossible jumps, enemy placement, etc. You are right, in general, the early Castlevania games were quite

Looks like it goes for about $20 shipped for the cart only (it was cart only at that yardsale back in 1996 or so).

This is one of those games that flew by me without me noticing till years later when I saw SNES games starting to appear in yard sales for cheap. I remember seeing it and thinking this must be an import

I hope this is a sign of better things to come from them. They control SOOOOO many amazing IPs that I would love to see updates of or just a simple re-release for modern platforms if nothing else. I cannot

I am glad you agree, I was concerned I would get flamed for saying it that way but it is the only way I could describe how monumental this move is. Real gamers understand it.

I was more a fan of RoboCop than Terminator myself. I just think that third movie hurt the franchise quite a bit. The second didn't help but that third went off the rails too much.

I absolutely love it, and appreciate, when modders go that extra mile. It makes the patch feel like the "Director's Cut" of sorts - the version we should have gotten in the first place if you

They do great work over there at Knights of Bytes, really pushing the hardware of the NES and the C64, at least I think they are - for all I know it could be just untapped power hidden in there somewhere.

You rock. Thank you for throwing them some support, I am sure it is greatly appreciated. Have you seen what Knights of Bites did with the C64 and NES with their Sam's Journey game? Another amazing piece

It is definitely amazing what programmers are getting classic hardware like the Commodore 64 to do (if you have time, check his channel out, he is also prolific with earlier Commodore hardware). Simply

I view them as good deals because I did have fun with them and those memories playing these when they were still closer to the cutting edge will always be worth the price of admission. Seeing that one

Years ago (around 2015) I was heavily into retro gaming, website, YouTube, even put out a mag and worked with other mags, I remember covering, or reading about, a lot of games on Amstrad and Spectrum they
