RE: Adventure Goes 3D with Tomb Raider, Female Lead Spelunker Changes Gaming Forever
It is a great game, I have fond memories of playing this when it first came out, then grabbing the sequel on day one (I prefered the first one more). Have you seen the ports of this using the OpenLara

RE: Mega R-Type Demo Released for Sega Genesis
That was a good one. It was the first time I ever played an R-Type game at home, I did play the original a few times in arcades here and there as I was waiting for Strider to open up (Strider was a 50

RE: Goodbye Unlicensed Controllers on the Xbox Platform
I completely agree, consoles themselves are not bad. I am not a fan of how online play on them is being handled though - this "always on" or "needs to check with a home server" before

I know what you mean, I play a lot of Fortnite and I encounter cheaters all the time - perfect shots (landing 100% of their shots against a moving target with a rifle with HIGH recoil), shooting me through

RE: Goodbye Unlicensed Controllers on the Xbox Platform
I agree, gaming is expensive but shouldn't those that spend their hard earned money on these games be able to enjoy them rather than being annihilated by people using controllers that allow multiple button

RE: Goodbye Unlicensed Controllers on the Xbox Platform
Over on Facebook, I see a lot of hate for Microsoft over this. Usually by the same people that herald good times when Sony or Nintendo do something similar. I have no idea why. I agree with you, it should

RE: Goodbye Unlicensed Controllers on the Xbox Platform
It does feel like a cash grab of sorts on the part of Microsoft. I feel it may level the playing field in certain games but man, as tight as money is nowadays for many gamers, this could be detrimental

RE: Goodbye Unlicensed Controllers on the Xbox Platform
I know a lot of gamers in a similar situation as you, it sucks. I wonder how it would work if an unlicensed company gets licensed, would that license be retroactive or only apply to upcoming hardware?

RE: Compute! (February 1989)
Early on, I just scanned the content pages and not the ads because I was only interested in the content (and ads usually carried over from month to month or mag to mag). I would scan the ad once and just

I helped start Out of Print Archive but life got in the way, and I had nothing that could legally be distributed so it was hard to keep the passion for the project when I was working 40+ hours a week at

RE: Flintstones Bring Bedrock to Sega Genesis – October 22nd, 1993 – Today in History
Thank you for the comment. These are some awesome games and I am glad more people are getting to remember them, or get to check them out for the first time.

This one is one of the better Flintstones games available.

These AI generated things are getting quite good. It will be interesting to see how far they can go.

I love these looks back through classic publications. It is like a time capsule of sorts, we get to see how far things have evolved and changed over the years. So cool. Have you checked out

We didn't realize how good we had it with magazines back then. Some great memories here, while I never had access to this particular publication, I do remember the fondness of thumbing through magazines

RE: Nintendo Entertainment System Begins Nationwide Takeover – October 18th, 1985 – Today in History
You are welcome. Thank you for memory boost, I used to love Monster in My Pocket. I also loved Castlevania II (could not get anywhere in the 1st or 3rd ones but I trudged through the second in a Summer).

It is definitely amazing what they have done with an early build of their engine. I can only imagine where this will go as they develop it more.

I made a mistake on 3Speak, I am trying to figure out how to delete one. My apologies. As soon as 3Speak is back up (currently getting a cloudflare error) I will try and delete the duplicate there.
