Good morning, day or evening, depending on what time zone you live in!
Regret. I know that feeling. You probably know it as well. But for the most part, it isn't regret about all the stupid things I have done, but about the things I didn't choose to do and wasn't brave enough to say.
I've always been painfully #shy and #sensitive, so that when I was younger, saying what I thought directly into somebody's face would sometimes make me cry. It sounds weird, but I guess I was very scared of being too rude, leading to people not liking me.
After that, I tried to avoid saying things right as they were going through my mind to prevent crying in unfit situations. I was so insecure. I rather would have said nothing than something wrong.
But why is it so hard to say what you want to say and maybe be completely wrong? What I've noticed is that people don't even judge you that hard, so there's no need to be so hard on yourself. Just say whatever bullshit that comes into your mind. Who cares, and if it turns into a disaster at least you'll have a funny story to tell (as long as the disaster isn't so terrible that you won't be able to tell the story afterwards.. unlikely :'D).
Plus, tears are beautiful, because they show a very raw, human side of a person. What's so wrong about that? (See, I'm already motivating myself :P)
If you make mistakes, at least you can learn from them. But if you don't do anything and simply avoid conflict by not speaking up- what will you have gained?
Right, nothing! Except maybe REGRET.
