You want respect, fight for it - WEEK 136

When you are content to simply be yourself and not compare yourself to others, everyone will respect you! Lao Tse

Reading this weekend-engagement caught my attention two of the writing suggestions, it really will be something special, after more than half an hour I decided to unpack one of them namely ,,Respectful weekend,,.

First, I would like to write a few words about how I understand the word "respect" to name a person I respect.

Respect is that state of fact that occurs between two or more people, otherwise we can also speak of respect for ourselves.

When we talk about respect we can think of it as the foundation of a house, respect between people is the foundation of the society in which we live, so we can talk about respect in marriage, respect at work and in many other cases.

My opinion is that "respect" implies a lot of responsibility, you see, not all people are the same, we are all different from the way we dress to our beliefs, this is where respect comes in, I have to respect you as you are as an individual (sometimes maybe I agree with you sometimes I don't), sometimes maybe my vision is wrong but by respecting me we can fix it.

Here in Romania, from the life experience I have acquired so far, I can say that we like to judge others (not all of us have this habit, but it is present in society), disregarding true values or a certain standard, we judge others instead of showing understanding or even patience to listen to their opinion, no, we put them to the wall.

I admit, we have a totally wrong mentality in this matter and I don't see when we will manage to change, it is sad that I have to say this here but this is the truth, I have a great respect for the founder of the community, this is also the reason why I am sincere in what I write here.

I'm thinking now of a situation that happened at the office (at one of my jobs), when the boss was trying by all means to impose a certain work schedule on my colleagues, I was going through the situation that only the boss is right and the rest are wrong, by this action he shows that he really doesn't care about his employees because he doesn't respect their opinion.

I tried to make a small introduction, considering that a lot can be written about the word "respect", I hope I didn't bore you, maybe you even found yourself in what I wrote.

Now I want you to meet one person to whom I have great respect, meet the former mayor of our commune, Mr. Petru.

Mr. Peter was a support for me when I decided to take my life in my own hands, to stop depending on my parents, this happened somewhere around 2009 when Mr. Peter called me in his office at the town hall and told me that a friend of his needed a serious boy to hire him on a management position even without experience (I know it sounds strange to put in management someone who has no experience, you know I adapted very quickly).

Yes, I accepted the job and that's how I ended up working in that job for more than 4 years in a managerial position, because after 4 years the same Mr. Peter asked me to meet him on a Saturday and proposed me to change my job for one in his team at the town hall, I accepted the new job and since then until today I have the same job.

The respect we both showed helped us build a solid relationship, a relationship that lasted for years, unfortunately Mr. Peter is no longer with us today, but from up there I am sure he is proud of me.

Over time I have learned that the first person I have to respect is me, this respect I cannot impose on anyone, if you want my respect, fight for it.

Maybe I will find people here who agree with me, everything I have written here is strictly my life story.

If you liked what you saw and read here please don't forget to give a LiKe, Follow, reBlog or a Comment, for all this I thank you, and until the next post I say goodbye.

P.S. The attached pictures you have just seen are taken by me with my mobile phone, and the text is also designed by me.
