No, my family is not from Germany.
I attended an event in Augsburg, which celebrated 250 years since the Germans came to my community here in western Romania.
The Germans retired here, in Romania, where they established their families, but they also managed to build houses, leading a normal life here in Romania.
But here, in Romania, the communist party was in power and at one point the communists decided to take all their properties including their houses, so the German population had to leave, of course they went back to Germany where they have remained until today.
Today, the descendants of the first Germans organized this event and invited us too.
