Indeed, the Dead Sea is amazing and worth experiencing at least for a few days the pleasure of swimming there, we have several options, either in Israel or Jordan,.
I had the same experience here in Romania, where a waterfall hundreds of years old (Bigar Waterfall) broke in two after a very big flood on the river that runs along it.
But even so it is still very much visited.
